~ DFD ~
| |
There are two sides to DFD, The musical band "Deemed for destruction" and the original artistic side "Drawn for destruction".
| |
Drawn for destruction was created in 2003 by founding members Dean and Martin. In the early stages DFD was to create ideas for games that we would one day make, and a name to stick on our random flash animations.
A while into the lifespan DFD recruited the artistic talents of Kia-tk and from there went into a state of seclusion. However DFD has recently been revived with the entire team and is once again in production of flash movies.

Deemed for destruction was created with the original name "Freeksum" on sports day of year 10. The original lineup consisted of 5 people and a one hour roadie called James. The band was originally a covers band that rewrote the lyrics however as time went on (And 3 members left) we began to work on more original and serious pieces of music.
Our first pracice studio was the music room in Peers, however because they prefered pop music we couldnt ever use the room for longer than 3 minutes. With this deterant we simply used an old caravan which smelt of pee and was small enough to cram 3 people in before getting crowded. However with this set of cicumstances, DFD wrote cold soul and many other great pieces of music.
After years of trying to get craig to turn up to practice we finally got a sketchy recording of "The King" and "Cold Soul" done. Shortly after this craig returned to never turning up to practice and eventually Dean moved to stockport which broke the band up, however we had agreed to not give it up and we would one day reform.
While in stockport Dean played with a band named "Any victory" for a while but after a while decided to leave, at this time DFD also reformed as just Dean and Martin once again. Armed with new material and years more experiance the two set about writting more songs.
Early in 2009 craig rejoined the band with the stipulation that he get better on drums and becomes more reliable. So this puts DFD into the position they are in now, preparing to record "Wasted time for restless minds"
